Artist's Comments

This is a gouache painting with alittle Photoshop for effects. I did this about a year ago. It's pretty clear that I was inspired by the work done on Gendy Tartakovsky's Samurai Jack, which is a beautifully crafted show, in my humble opinion. I'm also a big fan of Bill Wray, who helped with the development work on the show and is currently working on a Dexter's Lab movie. Anyway, enough of my gas. Hope you like! Comments always welcome!

Bloody wicked! Especially the metal wall in the background, it looks just fabulous. Samurai Jack rocks too. ^^

Before reading the comment I was very inclined to say that it does in fact take after the art styles of Samurai Jack. I love Gennedy Tartakovsky's work! Very simplistic animation style, but just totally awesome! Great work man!

This reminds me that onea these days I really need to go get some gouiache and just start working direct.

Everyone I know who's worked with the man says that Bill Wray is a horrible failure as a human being, with a freakish body, and only one redeeming feature: the man can render in paint like a god.

But I digress. Nice work.

Wow, I was severely mistaken when I commented on your Neo sketch. My apologies. I didn't realize who I was talking to...well I still don't really. But, now I have an idea of how truly talented you are. I REALLY like this style...and yes I like Samurai Jack. Cheers and Great job!!!!!!!!!

nice animated feel! i love the colors; it seems very pastelish. looks like it could pass as a cell from a cartoon

I really like this. You seem to have a very wide variety of styles available to you, which is quite rare, or at least using them as widely as you do.
