Here's the final version of The Grey Pilgrim from LOTR, Ian McKellan. I had worked out the background for this piece 1st, so adding the figure worked out better than some others I've done. I have to thank for the use of the stone carving design on the wall. It's a scan of a polarized zerox of a beautiful celtic style woodburning she had done a few years back. Using that as a starting point, I added alot of photoshop and the rest of the stones to bring it all together. I had alot of fun on this piece. I did alot more planning in my head before I got started, so from start to finish, I did the whole piece in 3-4 hrs.
