I've been working on some custom GI Joe action figures and card style artwork lately and in the process doing a lot of research. Meaning watching old cartoons and reading old comic books. LOL. Hard work, I know.
Here's my take on the Oktober Guard Commander, Colonel Brekhov. Based on the classic Michael Golden version found in GI Joe Yearbook #2.
Recipe: Hat, Torso, Upper Arms- repainted 25th Red Star Head- modified (cigar) & repainted 25th Red Star Web Gear- modified and repainted 25th Red Star & Indiana Jones Lower Shirt- modified & repainted Indiana Jones Russian Soldier & white stuff sculpting compound Legs- ROC Destro Lower Arms- modified and repainted 25th Red Star (elbows, joints) & ROC Hawk (lower arms and hands) Pistol- 25th Red Star AK-47- Modified & repainted Marauders Arm Pouch- modified TRU 1/18 Army Figure (?)
Paints: Main Uniform- Tamiya TS-68 Wooden Deck Tan Web Gear, Hair- Tamiya XF-10 Flat Brown Lower Shirt & Uniform Detailing- mix of Bambi Brown & Mudstone by Delta Acrylic Paint Face, Forearms- Acrylics
All card art, logos, graphics & type created in photoshop, printed on high quality paper and mounted to card stock.

Man, I got excited by the thumbnail thinking this was an actual new Hasbro. You did an excellent job! That Golden-Hama teamup was one of the best ever.
